    Scott R. Raber
    is a partner at Kastner | Banchero LLP. He has practiced law in California since 1997.

    PRACTICE AREAS:

    Mr. Raber has a broad variety of business litigation experience. He represents public and private companies and their officers and directors in trade secret litigation, business torts, corporate governance and control, unfair competition, employment discrimination, wrongful termination, and health care fraud-and-abuse cases. Mr. Raber also represents executives in disputes involving complex employment agreements, stock option grants, and intellectual property claims, and he frequently defends “whistleblower” employees. He has experience conducting sensitive internal investigations for companies facing criminal and regulatory enforcement issues. His clients span the semiconductor, pharmaceutical, health care, telecommunications, software, and venture capital industries. Mr. Raber has successfully prosecuted and defended clients in numerous arbitrations and trials. His recent experience includes:
      • Obtaining a favorable settlement for the CEO/founder of a high technology company in a trade secret and corporate-control case involving shareholders and venture capital investors;
      • Concluding a favorable settlement for an executive who was wrongfully terminated from a high-technology company; and.
      • Negotiating a successful business resolution of an underlying dispute after concluding a multi-million dollar arbitration for a national grocery retailer.

    Mr. Raber is a past President of the Federal Bar Association’s Northern District of California Chapter. He remains an active participant in developing legal education programs with the FBA.

    Mr. Raber teaches Legal Writing and Research at the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.
